Get to know Louise

I started my career in costs in 2001 as a Criminal Cost Clerk at an established firm in Preston. Over the years I have dealt with costs across a broad range of areas including Court of Protection, family and employment.

For the last 15 years I have specialised in high value Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence costs matters and have expertise in a number of areas, including Cost Management. I have a vast knowledge of legal cost issues and have dealt with complex cost issues from both a paying and receiving party perspective.

I qualified as a Cost Lawyer in 2017 and have held senior legal and management positions for the last 10 years.

My main responsibilities include managing the day to day function of the Cost department, providing advice and support to colleagues and running a varied caseload of high value PI and Clinical Negligence cost cases.

In 2023, I became a Principal Lawyer and National Head of our Specialist Legal Costs department at Slater and Gordon.
