Our charity of the year winner
We are proud to be partnering with The Wheelchair Football Association as our 2025 Charity of the Year.
The Wheelchair Football Association, also known as WFA, offers people with physical impairments a unique opportunity to join in with sport. As the national governing body, Powerchair Football is a dynamic and fast-paced version of football adapted for electric wheelchair users.
Since its creation in 2005, Powerchair Football has provided a competitive and inclusive platform for many. Today, many participants can enjoy engaging in regular physical activity whilst building meaningful friendships and capturing memorable moments. Currently, the WFA are in their 19th season, with 24 national teams taking part in the sport.
Slater and Gordon are excited to drive their vision forward; helping them to continue building a professional and sustainable organisation, that provides life changing opportunities for those with physical impairments to access Powerchair football.
Our Partnership
Slater and Gordon’s partnership with The Wheelchair Football Association promises to drive forward the WFA’s mission to make life-changing moments through the power of football.
Over the next year, the partnership will strengthen the WFA’s ambitions towards growth and national impact. Following their substantial five figure donation, Slater and Gordon will support the WFA through fundraising opportunities, strategic support, brand awareness and community engagement.
By embarking in this partnership, Slater and Gordon aim to further empower the Powerchair football community, with a true passion towards making a difference to those facing daily challenges.

“It is clear to see the impact The Wheelchair Football Association has had on the Powerchair Football community. When I met with them for the first time, it’s far more than just a unique sport, but it’s the creation of an inspiring community that has come together to overcome the challenges of physical impairment. It's an amazing environment that thrives on teamwork, sportsmanship and friendly competition, which is really inspiring to take in.
“I look forward to working with them this year, and that this partnership with Slater and Gordon can help them further their success.”
