How long does a medical negligence claim take?
It can be difficult to determine how long a claim will take to process from the outset, as this can often be dependent on a number of different factors such as the severity of your injuries and how long it takes for liability to be accepted. Some cases can be settled relatively quickly (in some cases less than 12 months), though more complex cases will almost always take much longer.
What do you need to make a medical negligence claim?
Making a successful medical negligence claim is dependent upon your ability to prove that the healthcare professionals treated you breached their duty of care and were negligent in their actions, causing you injury or illness as a result.
Doing so can sometimes be a complicated process, but our team of experts are here to help. We’ll work with you to collect the relevant evidence from your medical records, and arrange for independent medical assessments to attest to the extent of your injuries.
